Oliver highly commended in BBC Proms Inspire Young Composers’ competition

Congratulations to Oliver, a year 13 specialist composer at Wells Cathedral School, who has been highly commended in the senior category of the 2015 BBC Proms Inspire Young Composers’ competition. The piece Oliver submitted, The Eagle Has Landed, is the second of three pieces, collectively titled this new sea, for three voices, instrumental ensemble and backing track, which he composed this year. All three pieces can be heard here, performed by the school’s New Music Ensemble.
