Wells Brass Skills

On Sunday, the brass department ran a successful brass skills day at Cedars Hall, involving 31 students, and five tutors leading five groups of different skill levels. Headed up by head of brass, Paul Denegri, the day comprised performance skills, practice tips and technique as well as exam preparation. Trombone teacher Andy Fawbert led a group of eight trombone, tuba and euphonium players, including three adult players from Wells City Brass Band, including Wells EAL and maths teacher Geoff Baker-Hytch. Wells Year 10 trumpeters opened proceedings with a polished performance, whilst in the closing concert all musicians performed with great enthusiasm, providing an enjoyable finale for gathered friends and family.
