Great Torrington School Outreach Day

As part of the outreach programme at Wells, creative workshops in choral work and percussion were held on Friday 28th April with Great Torrington School. Great Torrington had won a Music Education Award for the diversity of their extra-curricular activities and they chose to have a workshop day with us as their prize. Twenty five students enjoyed a full day of choral workshops run by Chris Finch, Phil Lawson, and a percussion session courtesy of Sean Rigby on the African drums. As well as a performance by Choralia, the day was rounded off by attending the choristers rehearsals and Evensong at Wells Cathedral. The students really enjoyed the day’s opportunities and would love to forge future links with our school.
