About our Clarinet Day

Enjoy an inspirational day in our state-of-the-art performance venue Cedars Hall in Wells Cathedral School. Your day will include:

  • masterclasses with Music Conservatoire professors
  • workshops and ensembles for all abilities
  • tips to maximise your practice, motivation and performance
  • expert tuition with world-class specialist tutors

Bursaries

If the £40 fee is a barrier to being able to attend, we’d like to invite you to apply for one of our bursaries worth 50% off the fee (limited availability). Our Tutors

    Anna Hashimoto, Clarinet Tutor, is attending a Clarinet Day at our Specialist Music School in the UK
    Anna Hashimoto

    Anna trained at the Royal Academy of Music with Michael Collins and she now performs both as a soloist and with orchestras worldwide. She teaches at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, as well as numerous summer schools, and she is a tutor for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

    Edward Leaker, Head of Woodwind at our Specialist Music School
    Edward Leaker

    Edward is Head of Woodwind and Jazz at Wells Cathedral School. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and has enjoyed an international freelance career in both jazz and classical ensembles. He currently leads the Swing Machine Jazz Orchestra as well as other performance projects.

    Marie Lloyd - Clarinet
    Marie Lloyd

    Marie is a clarinettist with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. She is also guest principal with many of the UK’s top orchestras. Marie teaches clarinet at Wells Cathedral School and has recently been appointed Head of Woodwind at the Royal College of Music.
