Join us for an exciting, fun day of ensemble playing, masterclasses and more, culminating in a concert featuring THE WORLD PREMIERE of a new composition by Teresa Barlow.
Every participant will play in this exciting new piece!

Enjoy a day with some of the UK’s top teachers and performers in our state-of-the-art performance venue, Cedars Hall. We will be joined by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. The day will include workshops and coached ensembles to develop your playing, solo performance masterclasses, an informal concert at the end of the day including a world premiere, Conservatoire audition advice and the opportunity to try and buy from the John Packer stand.

Our Tutors

    Lenny Sayers (clarinet)
    Lenny Sayers
    Clarinet

    Gold medallist in the Royal Over-Seas League Competition, Nicholas read music at Cambridge University and in Hanover. He has played Principal clarinet with all of the UK’s Orchestras and was Principal of the Liverpool Philharmonic for 22 years. He is a senior tutor of clarinet at The Royal Northern College of Music.

    Richard has performed with many of the UK’s orchestras, most notably as Guest Principal clarinet with the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, and London Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed as a chamber musician and soloist at many prestigious venues and teaches at Wells Cathedral School.

    Edward is Head of Woodwind & Jazz at Wells Cathedral School. He graduated from The Royal Academy of Music and has enjoyed an international freelance career in both jazz and classical ensembles. He currently leads the Swing Machine Jazz Orchestra among other performance projects.

    Sarah’s work as a saxophonist is unique. Performances include playing Glastonbury with British rock band Elbow to the UK premiere of Stockhausen’s Abduction for saxophone and electronics. Sarah has toured with Sting and Seal and she lectures regularly at The Royal College of Music.
