Flute Masterclass with Katherine Bryan

Last week, our specialist flautists were treated to a masterclass with renowned teacher and performer Katherine Bryan. Among many performing accolades, Katherine is currently principal flautist of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.Katherine was able to share her huge expertise with characteristic enthusiasm via the Zoom platform and all participants left feeling energised and inspired!

Reed-Making Classes

Our specialist oboists were thrilled to be able to continue their reed making classes this term via online zoom sessions. Our reed making consultant Matthew Draper makes regular visits each term to help our pupils develop all of the skills they need to produce their own reeds – a vital skill for young oboists today. Many pupils have been able to perform on their own reeds following instruction from Matthew- a great achievement indeed!
