Liz Fyfe, previously a member of the ROH Orchestra Covent Garden, is the oboe tutor at Wells Cathedral School. Also an NCO tutor, Liz loves working with oboists of all stages and is always looking for new ways to enthuse
young musicians
Pete Harrison is the bassoon tutor at Wells Cathedral School alongside a busy schedule as guest conductor for orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Ashby Mayes is a multi award-winning bassoonist who studied at Wells, The Royal College of Music and The Hochschule für Musik Mannheim. Ashby tutors and performs all over Europe and runs his own successful publishing company.
Poppy Webb-Taylor is an outstanding young oboist and educator working all over the UK and beyond. Poppy studied at Wells and is currently working on her Masters Degree at The Royal College of Music.
Ella York established her oboe playing at Wells and then later as a student at The Royal College of Music. She is now studying for her master’s degree at the Sibelius Academy and regularly performs with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
