DESCRIPTION:We encourage exceptionally talented young musicians to audition for our specialist music scheme. You will need to demonstrate a passion for your instrument/voice\, a desire to learn and have the commitment and dedication to strive to fulfil your musical potential. Grades and exam results are not essential entry requirements. Please note that this event is by invitation only and\, due to the number of applicants and the limited number of scholarships available\, not all candidates awarded a specialist place will receive a scholarship. We strongly recommend that musicians attend one of our Be a Specialist Music for a Day events before applying for an audition whenever possible. Grades and exam results are not essential entry requirements. Successful applicants may be awarded one of two different types of music scholarships: the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) grant funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and our own Music Scholarships. Please note that due to the number of applicants and the limited number of scholarships available\, not all candidates awarded a specialist place will receive a scholarship.We strongly recommend that musicians attend one of our Be a Specialist Music for a Day events before applying for an audition whenever possible.
