Overview

We invite you to take part in our inspirational day where you will have the opportunity to:

  • Join players from the prestige Royal Academy of Music Brass Department for a side by side playing experience.
  • Learn fun new pieces for brass ensemble directed by Mark David, Head of Brass at the RAM and Principal Trumpet of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
  • Take part in a performance to family and friends, and hear the RAM Brass in performance.
  • Try out the latest brass kit at the Prozone Music Trade Stand.

The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London is one of the oldest music schools in the UK, founded in 1822. It received its royal charter in 1830 from King George IV with the support of the first Duke of Wellington. The Academy’s Brass Department is widely considered to be one of the leading conservatoire departments in the world. Recent alumni perform in top ensembles and hold principal orchestral positions around the world – come and join the future stars of the brass world!

Mark David, Brass
Mark David

Mark enjoys a distinguished career as a performer in some of the most prestigious ensembles in the world, including as Principal Trumpet of the Philharmonia Orchestra for 20 years. He currently plays trumpet for the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. He combines performing around the world with his busy schedule as a teacher and clinician.
