Open to all levels of players and teachers


Enjoy an inspirational day in our state-of-the-art performance venue Cedars Hall in Wells Cathedral School. Your day will include:

  • masterclasses with Music Conservatoire professors
  • workshops and ensembles for all abilities
  • tips to maximise your practice, motivation and performance.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, but please bring a packed lunch.

About the Tutoring Team

Robert Plane

Robert teaches at the Royal Welsh College as well as giving regular masterclasses at RAM, RCM and Birmingham Conservatoire. He has been principal clarinet with the CBSO, Royal Northern Sinfonia and BBC National Orchestra of Wales and guest principal with the LSO and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam.

Naomi Sullivan

Naomi is currently head of saxophone at Birmingham Conservatoire and a graduate of the RCM. She performs across the UK, USA and
Europe, and has performed with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, CBSO, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, The Hallé, Aurora Orchestra and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Edward Leaker, Head of Woodwind

Edward is head of woodwind and jazz at Wells Cathedral School. He graduated from the RCM and has enjoyed an international freelance
career in both jazz and classical ensembles. He currently leads the Swing Machine Jazz Orchestra.

Andy Tweed

Andy is in demand as a performer and teacher giving masterclasses and workshops nationally whilst also teaching at Wells Cathedral
School and Birmingham Conservatoire. His performing credits include the CBSO, Syd Lawrence Orchestra and The Bournemouth
Symphony Orchestra.

Marie Lloyd - Clarinet
Marie Lloyd

Marie is clarinettist with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe as well as guest principal with many of the UK’s top orchestras, including The
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Marie teaches the clarinet at Wells and the Royal Academy of Music.
