Last Post Trumpeters

17 Wells trumpeters, from junior school students to the most senior brass specialist, played 20 performances of The Last Post and Reveille at Remembrance Services at Wells Cathedral and in churches, schools and memorials around Somerset, and as far away as the Channel Islands on Friday and Sunday, in this year’s centenary of the start of the Battle of Passchendaele – one of the bloodiest of World War One. Thanks to the head of student performance and brass co-ordinator Paul Denegri, Old Wellensian trumpeter Alicia, who returned from Bristol University to take part, and to the following Wells musicians: Livia, Harry, Miranda, Jacob, Hector, Darcie, junior school pupil Joshua, Luke, Jesse, Charlie, Gregory, Eliza, Matthew, Ben and Danni.
