Please note that you need to book quantities based on families, not individuals
(e.g., a parent, toddler and baby would be considered 1 participant).
This musical and movement play session is a fun way for you to spend time with your little ones and help them get their development off to a flying start! Our range of action songs and musical games boost language and communication skills. Various props – teddy bears, instruments, scarves and bubbles to name a few – will capture your toddler’s attention and fire their curiosity.
After the group activities have finished, everyone is invited to choose from our pastries, biscuits, squash, coffee and tea. The snack provides the energy needed to jump back into play, with options including sensory materials for baby, ball pits, Duplo, and balancing toys for older toddlers to master before this part of the session ends at 10.00am when we head over to our heated swimming pool.
In the pool, we offer an open swim with a variety of pool toys and floats for you to enjoy with your child. Please note that the ratio of adult to children aged under four must be 1:1 in the pool. That would mean a family with two children aged four and under would need two adults present for them to go swimming together. Please note that swimming spaces are limited due to capacity and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis; the £8.50 fee still applies even if you don’t take part in the swim session.
For safeguarding purposes, we ask that families do not arrive on our school site before 9.15am and that they leave immediately after the session has ended.
Do I have to book in advance?
Yes, you must book in advance via our booking and paying system. Please note that you need to book quantities based on families, not individuals (e.g., a parent, toddler and baby would be considered 1 participant).
Where can I park?
There is no parking on our School site. We recommend that you park at Waitrose or Union Street car park; both are about a ten minute walk away. There is space indoors to park your pushchairs and prams if needed.
What do I need to bring?
Please ensure that you bring your own reusable cup with a lid for our refreshments (as we are reducing the amount of waste in our support of the environment), swimming costumes, towels and a swim nappy (if required) in addition to the normal items you’d have in your changing bag.
Where do I go?
Please join us in Cedars Hall, located behind our Main Reception on The Liberty. It is also accessible via College Road. Click here for our School map.
* What dates do Sing and Swim run?
We run Sing and Swim most Fridays during Term Time; current planned dates can be found via our booking system.
