Our Sport Scholars Programme is for pupils who have the potential to make an outstanding contribution to Sport at Wells. Candidates should already be playing sport both inside and outside of school, whether via the club or county route. Our Sport Programme helps Scholars to progress their sport by increasing their knowledge and understanding in:
Our Sport Scholars are placed in one of the following three tiers:
All Sport Scholars receive a formal review of their progress and performance in November of Year 8 and November of Year 11. This involves a pupil one-to-one meeting with a member of the sports department and a written report to parents.

We are looking for athletes who:
Assessment will be through a fundamental movement task and performance in at least one of our core sports. Candidates will also have an interview and participate in a variety of sporting activities. Scholars typically enter the programme at the aspirational level and aspire to progress through the levels throughout their time on the programme.
