Trumpet Skills Day for Prep Schools

Prep School Music Skills Day

The inaugural Prep School Music Skills Day was held for trumpet players this week. Over 30 children, from Farleigh School, Andover, St. Peter’s, Exmouth and Dean Close, Cheltenham attended the day, which was led by members of the brass department. The musicians had a fabulously varied day, which included practice skills, musicianship, performance and instrument maintenance. At the end of the day the children performed in a concert at Cedars Hall for parents, playing a range of tunes, including The Bare Necessities and theme from James Bond. The parents who attended the concert were delighted with the standard of musicianship achieved and were wowed with the acoustics and facilities in Cedars Hall.
