Welcome Advice for Wells Newspaper Club
Journalist Mrs Knight led the Year 4 newspaper club in one of their weekly meetings before the half term break, bringing with her a fascinating and unique insight into national newspaper journalism.
Mrs Knight provided the club with tips about hooking the reader in the first line of the article, and listening out for new and funny stories that the person being interviewed might not have told anyone else. She also spent time with budding Wells journalists helping them with their articles for the first edition of the newspaper and answering questions.
Teacher Naomi Hammerton said, “It was a fascinating and unique opportunity to learn from a successful and established national journalist – Mrs Knight was brilliant!”
