James Manning Photo

Budding Wildlife Photographer on the BBC

Upper Sixth pupil, James Manning, has taken the opportunity to significantly build on his photographic portfolio during the long months of lockdown and the summer holidays, as revealed on BBC Somerset online and on BBC Radio Somerset this morning: BBC Somerset.

James spent lockdown taking photos in the glorious Somerset countryside around his home and said it helped him feel happier about his future, whatever his A-level results. He worked six 10-hour days a week out in the countryside near his home, visiting nature reserves and exploring the Somerset Levels, capturing images. He now hopes to become a photojournalist and wildlife cameraman as an alternative future.

James’ lockdown story will be featured next week on BBC Points West and ITV West.
