Love through the Ages
Wells Head of English, Neil Bowen, will be presenting at the English in Action Love Through the Ages online conference for pupils studying English A level next week.
Neil will be one of five expert lecturers delivering a day that is filled with a love for learning, inspiring pupils to dive deeper into key texts and to excel in their examinations.
Neil, an acclaimed author in his own right, will be presenting an informative session on representations of love in poetry. He will be joined by contemporary poet, Wendy Cope OBE, Dr Simon Avery, a Reader in nineteenth-century literature and culture at the University of Westminster, Professor Emma Smith, a lecturer in English and Professor of Shakespeare Studies and Fellow of Hertford College Oxford, and English teacher, Assistant Principal and author Jennifer Webb from Co-op Academy Leeds.
