Sixth Form Art and History of Art Trip to Tate Modern, London
On Thursday 17th November, Sixth Form Art and History of Art pupils visited Tate Modern, London, to see the Cezanne exhibition.
Pupils were greatly impressed by the breadth and scope of the exhibition as well as being able to see so many of Paul Cezanne’s most influential post-impressionist masterpieces, first hand. Pupils made careful observational sketches of the work that inspired them most and, in doing so, were able to gain a real insight into the style and vision of an artist that transformed the world of Modern Art that followed. Pupils also made the most out of touring the wider galleries and exhibitions of the Tate Modern, viewing a wide range of exciting and challenging contemporary work including installations, films and sculpture.
