Choristers enjoyed busy Easter
The Choristers had a very busy Easter holiday, rehearsing and singing for seven Cathedral services during Holy Week, the most important week of the church’s year.
Alexander Hamilton, Acting Director of Music at Wells Cathedral, said, “Holy Week is a really full-on time for the Cathedral Choir, but there is a wonderful sense of travelling through the changing moods of the week, from Palm Sunday to Good Friday and to Easter Day. The Choristers were on stellar form all week, singing a huge range of music with such skill, commitment and sensitivity. This picture shows them after their final service, still beaming despite a demanding week. I was, as always, hugely proud of them. It’ll be Christmas before we know it…!“
