Woman in Black theatre trip WCS Wells Cathedral School Independent Prep Somerset England

Woman in Black theatre trip

On Monday 11th March, 61 excited A level and GCSE Drama and Theatre Studies pupils were treated to a night out at the theatre in Bath to see the acclaimed Gothic Horror production of Woman in Black, based on the spine-chilling ghost story by Susan Hill. This spooktacular production is celebrating three decades in the West End with this current tour. It was a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror, where the audience were trained to use their imagination, and the pupils were inspired to use many inventive dramatic devices in their own work.

A level Theatre Studies pupils return to the theatre soon, this time to watch Deep Blue Sea starring Tamsin Greig at the Ustinov Studio. Then in May, Year 9 pupils will be treated to a production of the international phenomenon Hamilton at the Bristol Hippodrome.
