Sierra Leone Project: sponsored swim by Guy S
Guy S (Lower Sixth) has been raising money for the Sierra Leone Project as part of our ongoing effort to raise funds to help projects in Freetown and support endeavours organised by the Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Sierra Leone. Guy is one of 16 pupils going on the annual trip in October, ahead of which pupils are encouraged to raise at least £150. Guy completed a 5000 metre swim, swimming 200 lengths in 2 hours 15 minutes.
Ms Desmarchelier, Director of Languages and Manager of the Project, said: “I am so proud of Guy who did this off his own back and trained on top of all of his other musical commitments!”
If you would like to show your support for Guy and the Project (donations are used to fund scholarships, help with outreach project transport costs and more) please donate here, adding reference to Sierra Leone Project.
