George runs for Sierra Leone Project
George T (Upper Sixth) ran 10km a day for five consecutive days to raise money for the Sierra Leone Project! With thanks to everyone who has donated, his efforts have raised £240 which can support musicians at the Ballanta Academy of Music & Performing Arts with their music exams.
Ms Desmarchelier-Arpino, our Sierra Leone Project Manager, commented, “All pupils who have been on the trip this year have been encouraged to fundraise and donate the money to the Project. This money is then used to help with music or academic scholarships, as well as to help us pay for the salary of some members of staff over there, in order to maintain continuity and to ensure that the academy continues its good work! Thank you for all your efforts!”
