National choir selections
Following the latest rounds of auditions, we are delighted that no fewer than ten of our pupils have been accepted as members of one of the national choirs: National Children’s Choir or National Youth Choir.
The latest successful auditionees come from all parts of the School; including current Choristers, former Choristers and specialist musicians. Many congratulations to Belinda G-G, Michael D, Zino Z (Year 9) and Aleksei L (Year 10) who will be joining the 9-15 age category of the National Youth Choir, Clover B, Ernest C, Charles G, Oscar C (Year 11) and Barty H (Upper Sixth) for their selection into the 15-18 age category of the National Youth Choir and Daisy M (Year 11) who will be singing with the National Children’s Choir. Special recognition must go to specialist bassoonist Clover, who has been accepted into the National Youth Choir (15-18) on her second ‘instrument’!
Head of Vocal Studies, Mr Finch, comments, “I’m absolutely delighted that so many of our young singers have been successful in these auditions and will have this amazing opportunity to perform at the highest level in some really creative and inspirational projects.”
