Drama Workshop with Katherine Kingsley
The cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory recently participated in an engaging and insightful Drama workshop led by Katherine Kingsley, a distinguished actor celebrated for her extensive work in London’s West End, film and television. A three-time Olivier Award nominee, Katherine is acclaimed for her recent portrayal of the Grand High Witch in the National Theatre’s The Witches and was the perfect choice to explore Roald Dahl’s world with us.
During the session, our pupils gained invaluable insights into character creation and development. They also developed techniques to command a large theatre space, further strengthening their dramatic toolkit. This experience has not only deepened the cast’s understanding of professional performance but also inspired them to approach their roles with even greater confidence.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Katherine Kingsley for her generosity in sharing her expertise and very much hope to welcome her back in the future!
