Year 5 river trip

On Thursday 1st May, our Year 5 Geographers visited the River Mells for a fantastically sunny field study day run by the Somerset Earth Science Centre. They took part in a series of activities which developed their field study skills: sketching detailed maps of the river, measuring the depth of the river channel, measuring the flow speed and investigating which invertebrates and fish live in the river.
