Phenomenal Prep School production of Newsies Jr

For this year’s production, the Prep School took on the challenge of Newsies Jr, bringing the plight of the newsies in 19th Century New York to life in Cedars Hall. A relatively unknown production to many, it is fair to say that our enthusiastic cast, aged just 7 – 11 years old, embraced the challenge and were inspired by the fabulous musical numbers, written by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman. They wowed their audiences with superb singing, incredible choreography and impressive acting prowess for such a young cast, receiving rave reviews from the audiences.

Words cannot really express how proud we were of our incredible Prep School children and all that they achieved throughout the rehearsal process, culminating in three phenomenal performances. Every child on stage gave their all, performing with confidence, energy and an abundance of talent, resulting in a production that will live long in the memories of everyone involved. Thank you to everyone who came to watch and to all the Prep School staff who worked on this production, through the rehearsal process and backstage.
