The Shepherds Lounge
We are thrilled to share our newly refurbished Shepherds Lounge with you. The room has been refurbished with donations of paint from parents Martin and Katy Cook and donations from the Parents and Friends’ Association (PFA) for the rest. Parent and PFA member Rob Gilbert kindly painted the room over the summer holiday. A huge thank you to those parents and to all who have contributed to getting this off the ground! The room is allocated to our School Chaplain, Old Wellensian Tom Handy. Being the generous and kind man that he is, he was happy to share the space to create a really beautiful pastoral room for our Senior School pupils. The room will be used at lunchtimes for clubs and a calm space and we are looking at how it will be used at other times too. The PFA have also donated funds for the refurbishment of De Salis garden so that it can be used as a play space at lunchtimes along with a sensory garden area. We are aiming, in time, to add a shelter so the sensory garden can be used all year round. This is all in the works so watch this space! A huge thank you to all the parents who have contributed to this. It is such a wonderful resource for our pupils.
