Symphony Orchestra concert
The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra was a stunning audio visual treat. Britten’s iconic score, which introduces the audience to each instrument, was reimagined involving dancing, narration and a scarily lifelike puppet of the Director of Music. Performers and audience alike were buzzing during and after. Congratulations must go to the Chamber Choir, who sang with captivating character in Britten’s Hymn to St Cecilia while the Brass, Strings and Woodwind ensembles demonstrated mature chamber skills and sound quality.
