Year 3 trip to Cheddar Caves
On Wednesday 5th November, Year 3 made a trip to Cheddar Caves to enhance their understanding of the Prehistoric times. As part of their Humanities learning, the children learned about life in the Stone Age. Demonstrations of Stone Age survival skills such as flint knapping and fire lighting were given, with the chance to dress up in costumes of the time before visiting the museum. There was also a guided tour around two different caves (Gough/Cox) and a Prehistory workshop led by the education department. A hike up Jacob’s Ladder was a challenging end to the day and offered a super view of Cheddar Gorge before heading back to School.
