Eddie tops age group in Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge

The UK Bebras Challenge organised by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and involving pupils across both the Prep and Senior Schools gives each participant 45 minutes to tackle a series of interactive tasks, designed to encourage logical thinking and problem-solving skills appropriate for their age group. We are thrilled for Eddie G (Year 5) who came first in his age group in the challenge out of 32,987 pupils nationally – making him not only best in school but national champion!

Mr Wells, Head of our Prep School, commented: “Eddie’s success in the Bebras Challenge is a wonderful example of how perseverance, curiosity and both creative and logical thinking are nurtured and celebrated at our School. To achieve first place nationally is an extraordinary accomplishment, and we congratulate him warmly.”

Across the School, 64 pupils achieved a Distinction, placing them in the top 25% of the School, and 63 pupils achieved a Merit, placing them in the top 50% of the School.
