Musicians perform at House of Lord’s to celebrate the Music and Dance Scheme

Talented musicians from Wells Cathedral School were honoured to take part in a special event sponsored by Baroness Keeley at the House of Lord’s celebrating the national Music and Dance Scheme (MDS).

The evening brought together Peers, MPs, recent alumni and distinguished industry professionals, all of whom enjoyed a vibrant programme of live musical performances alongside filmed dance pieces. Every MDS school was proudly represented, showcasing the breadth of talent nurtured through the scheme. Guests also had the opportunity to learn more about the transformative impact of the MDS and the vital work undertaken by its schools to support gifted young performers across the country. Following the performances, Wells pupils joined a reception where they were able to speak directly with parliamentarians—an invaluable opportunity to share their experiences and represent the school on a national stage.

Wells Cathedral School is proud to have been part of this significant celebration of the arts and the young people who bring them to life. Thank you to Cole C (Year 11), Lily S (Lower Sixth), Milo B (Lower Sixth), Zoe B (Upper Sixth) and Morgan B (Upper Sixth) for representing our School with such calm, poise, and professionalism throughout the event.
