Pupils enjoyed educational and cultural highlights on Berlin trip
Pupils demonstrated exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm throughout their visit to Berlin, engaging fully with the city’s history, culture and everyday life while sampling local cuisine. The programme included visits to major landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, the East Side Gallery, Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower, alongside a range of educational sites including the Topography of Terror, the former passport control point between East and West Berlin, the DDR Museum, the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. Pupils also took part in structured activities and independent learning sessions, both during the day and in the evenings, reinforcing their understanding of Germany’s history and contemporary culture. Throughout the visit, pupils actively practised their German language skills by ordering food and drinks, asking for prices and communicating confidently with members of the public. The trip concluded with a visit to the Bundestag, the seat of the German Parliament, bringing a highly successful and enriching educational experience to a close.
