Sir Richard Long joins Justin Mortimer (OW) in the School’s Collection of Art

A new addition to the School’s growing collection of Art has been hung in the John Baxter Foyer of Cedars Hall. A print of a photograph, both taken and named by the internationally renowned artist Sir Richard Long CBE RA, has been displayed next to the painting Women Bathing by OW Justin Mortimer (1988). Ring of Young Hands 2022 was a collaborative, temporary installation created by Richard Long, along with our Year 3 pupils and Year 7 – 9 Art Scholars, on 10th May 2022, in the Eavis Auditorium of Cedars Hall. The printed photograph of the work is accompanied by a range of additional photos and explanatory text that vividly document the pupils’ experience.
