CCF cadets take on Swildon’s Hole WCS Wells Cathedral School Independent Prep Somerset England

CCF cadets take on Swildon’s Hole

As part of CCF, our adventurous cadets took on an exhilarating challenge: caving at Swildon’s Hole in the Mendip Hills. For many, this was a significant step up from their previous caving experiences, testing their skills, resilience and determination like never before. The cave itself presented a thrilling mix of obstacles, from narrow squeezes and cascading waterfalls to vast caverns and breathtaking rock formations. Every twist and turn brought a new challenge, but our cadets tackled them head-on with enthusiasm and teamwork. Despite being drenched from head to toe and earning a few well-deserved bruises along the way, spirits remained high. Their perseverance and positive attitude shone through as they navigated the dark, twisting passages, proving their grit and determination. A huge well done to all the cadets who took part; your courage and enthusiasm were truly inspiring! We look forward to the next adventure.

Meanwhile, cadets who weren’t caving at Swildon’s Hole have been learning weapon handling skills, engaging in hands-on training to develop essential focusing on safety and discipline as they were taught how to operate and maintain the equipment.
