Inspiring masterclass by Dame Imogen Cooper
The Keyboard Department was delighted to welcome back Dame Imogen Cooper for a fourth time to work with some of our senior pianists. One of the world’s most distinguished and revered pianists, Dame Imogen spent an afternoon working on Beethoven’s piano sonatas with Ezra H (Year 10), Melvin W (Year 11) and Anton P (Lower Sixth). Her inspiring class drew on a lifetime’s experience of performing these masterpieces. Dame Imogen professed herself delighted with her visit and commented most generously on the high standard of piano playing at Wells! She is already looking forward to a return visit in 2026.
