Checklist

Please complete any applicable forms:

• Medical Form (compulsory for all pupils)
• Emergency Contact Form (compulsory for all pupils)
• Direct Debit School Fee Payment Form (if you wish to pay by direct debit and have a UK bank account); the completed form should be returned to the Fees Manager, Wells Cathedral School, The Bursary, College Road, Wells, Somerset, BA5 2SX
• Music Lesson Booking Form (if your son/daughter wants to have music lessons at School)
• Local Bus Service Booking (for day pupils who want to use our School bus): this is available via the “Local School Bus Bookings” button on the homepage of the Portal (please note you will have to activate your Portal account before accessing this; see below for details)
• Nursery Payment/Collection Form (for Nursery pupils only)

Boarders only:

• GP Registration Form
• Guardianship – Parent Form (overseas boarders only)
• Guardianship – Guardian Form (overseas boarders only – please send this link to your Guardian to complete: https://wells.cathedral.school/guardianship-form-guardians)
• Start of Year Travel Form (this will be circulated nearer the time once any quarantine restrictions are known)

What you need to have/bring:

• School uniform
• PE/Sports kit
• A device: Chromebook or laptop (Senior School only)
• Essential kit (Senior School only)
• Art kit (Senior School only, if applicable)
• Music kit (Senior School only, if applicable)
• Backpack
• Boarding essentials as required for boarding, including casual clothes for outside of school time (see our Boarding Handbook for details).

• Activated your Parent Portal Account (Please note that the activation process will not be available until your contract has been returned and accepted)
• Booked onto your local school bus (for day pupils wishing to use our school buses; fees apply)
• Registered or opted out of the Wellbeing Hub
• Registered on our Community website
• Download our App

Prior to joining, you will also be invited to:

(Boarders only)

• Let us know your flight arrival plans (if applicable) – especially if you would like us to arrange transportation
• Apply for a Child Student Visa (certain overseas pupils only)
• Complete our boarding questionnaire

(Senior School only)

• Select academic options (Year 10 and Lower Sixth)
• Complete our languages form (Year 8 and Year 9)
• Provide GCSE results (Lower Sixth)

(Pre-Prep only)

• Activate your Tapestry Account (where we will share photographs of your child’s learning from Nursery to Year 2)
