Project Description
Recorder player and historical flautist Annabel Knight enjoys wide ranging musical career as a performer, teacher, arranger and editor. As a chamber musician she is a founder member of the baroque ensemble Passacaglia and the recorder quartet Fontanella, with whom she has toured and performed extensively across Europe and the US and recorded many CD albums. As a freelance player she has played for film and TV including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Philomena and on 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown. More recently she has explored the wonderful world of wind synthesizer as part of the group Art of Moog.
Annabel is currently head of the recorder department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she also runs events, courses and conferences, aiming to raise the profile of the recorder for performers, teachers and aspiring youngsters.
