We know that children start school with sparkling imaginations and a willingness to take risks with how they think. We embrace this everyday through our teaching, creative learning and stimulating curriculum that inspires, excites and enables a ‘could be’ attitude. By doing this, we are able to nurture their fertile minds and celebrate each child’s ‘bright spark’ that makes them a unique individual. If our fees seem slightly daunting, think again and consider the money and time you’d save with the extras that we have to offer…
Jody Wells, Head of the Prep School
We offer care from 8.20am – 5.15pm. For a small additional fee, parents also can opt to make the most of our Breakfast and Supper Clubs, which run from 7.45am and until 6.00pm respectively.
Our healthy, local food is freshly produced on site with a wide variety of delicious options so your child can experience a range of new and exciting meals!
Specialist teaching in Music, Drama, Speech, Forest School and Games will help your child to develop their skills and discover new ones!
Our pupils can make the most of the outdoors with the guidance of our specialist Forest School teacher within our large and beautiful grounds. Forest School builds confidence, boosts motor skills and so much more – everyone loves Welly Wednesday!
From January of Reception year, pupils receive weekly (term-time only) swim lessons throughout their time in the Prep School.
Your child can join and enjoy a range of free clubs including ballet, singing, football, multi-sports, Lego and science!
We take our reception class on at least three trips each year to broaden their horizons and supplement their learning! All transportation and fees are included. We have also been known to ‘transport our pupils to faraway lands’ without even leaving our grounds!
Our creative curriculum is inspiring and comprehensive. Our two major productions a year give our pupils the chance to shine in front of family and friends!
With our small classes and excellent SEND provision for those who need it, we are able to tailor our teaching to suit each child, which boosts confidence, increases independence and promotes academic and social achievement!
We can arrange a time for you to talk to Jody Wells, our Head of Prep School, and Rebecca Allen, our Head of Pre-Prep, as well as send you more information so you can get a better feel for what we have to offer.
From visiting and meeting staff and children, we knew the environment was right but we did what many people do and looked at the fees structure. We sat down and looked at what was included in the fees and it’s basically everything! When we totalled it up the amount was not such a huge jump a month more than friends sending their children to the local school when you looked at it as a whole. What our child has received from Wells is worth far more than that and Henry has had the best start possible.
– Henry’s Parents
Our daughter is settled, thriving, and so happy. Wells focuses on everything she loves; learning, curiosity, creativity, friendship and variety. The gentle emphasis on positive social interaction and kindness is woven through everything she does in class. We’re delighted with the academic focus and the level at which she’s learning. With a smaller son in Little Wellies, we feel that our kids are part of a really strong community. Best decision we’ve ever made, and we can’t wait to see where Wells leads our family next.”
