Robert McCartney, Bursar and Clerk to Governors

I joined Wells as Bursar and Clerk to Governors in July 2022. Before coming to Wells, I was the Head of Finance Internal Control and Compliance at Airbus SAS, based at their Head Office in Toulouse, France. I also previously held the roles of Head of Finance Shared Services and Head of Financial Controlling in the company.

I began my career in Audit and Advisory for Price Waterhouse in Bristol where my clients included Orange, Dyson and the National Trust. Alongside my professional work, I served as Chair of Governors of the International School of Toulouse and was previously the Chair of that school’s Finance Committee.
