Lucy Llewellyn, Director of Admissions and Marketing

Having lived and worked in education in the Southwest throughout my career, Wells Cathedral School has always been a place I aspired to work, not only because of its beautiful and inspiring location but also because it offers pupils numerous opportunities to discover and nurture their individual passions, propelling them toward successful and fulfilling lives beyond school. I am delighted to have the opportunity to help families to discover and be part of the Wells community.

I qualified as a teacher from Cardiff University, and after a few years of teaching, I became a Houseparent at Millfield School, responsible for 70 teenage girls. This experience provided me with valuable insight into boarding life and supporting pupils to settle in successfully so they can thrive. I always enjoyed welcoming prospective families to my boarding house and supporting them in taking the next steps on their journey, so transitioning into Admissions, which is my passion, was a natural progression. I have held senior admissions and marketing roles at Clifton College, Monkton Combe School, and a group of colleges in Wiltshire before joining Wells Cathedral School in July 2024.
