Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Young Musician of the Year

Congratulations to Year 9 trumpeter James, who has won the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Young Musician of the year at just 14 years of age. James achieved 93 in the brass advanced recital class, winning the Bosanko Brass Trophy and was then invited to compete in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Young Musician competition alongside the best instrumentalists from across the festival. He won this title with a beautiful performance of Hummel’s 1st Movement. James has been asked to play in the Gala concert next Saturday evening.
