Chemistry Trip to the University of Bristol

In mid-May the chemistry team took 40 Year 10 chemists to the University of Bristol’s Chemistry Department, where they spent the morning in the lab conducting practical work and extracting caffeine from tea leaves. In the afternoon they enjoyed talks from some of the postgraduate science students and a lecture demonstration in one of the giant Bristol lecture theatres.
