French and Spanish Language Performances
Students from Years 10 to 13 studying Spanish or French took part in the performance of two plays by the ONATTI production team, based at King’s Bruton School at the end of the Advent term. Wells students enjoyed performances of El Viejo Saloon in Spanish and La salle des Énigmes in French. Our very own Year 11 student Alexandra, stole the show and amazed audiences with her quick wit and near perfect French!
We hope to take part in these events again next year as it is a great opportunity for our students to to be immersed in the language for a couple of hours!
Director of Languages, Jules Desmarchelier-Arpino, was very impressed with the students’ responses during the French play, stating “Our students really shone and clearly had a great understanding of the actual dialogues, shouting out answers and suggesting places to look for clues to the actors in French. It was a great evening.”
