Trumpet Day 2019
Spirits were high on a chilly January day as enthusiastic trumpeters from Hampshire, Devon and Somerset raised the rafters of the Quilter Hall. Four experienced tutors, all professional trumpeters, led the groups, including three Old Wellensian musicians: Ross Brown, Hannah Opstad and Robert Webb.
Wells specialist trumpet teacher, Simon Jones, led the grade 5-6 ensemble; whilst all tutors were expertly assisted by current senior trumpet specialists: Jesse, Charlie, Eliza and Danni. Parents and friends enjoyed a rousing concert, which included arrangements of ‘Music from the Movies’.
