Lit Soc Explores Chaucer

Last week members of Lit Soc explored the art of Chaucer in their evening literary soiree. Four Upper Sixth pupils gave talks on different aspects of Chaucer’s work: Flora looked at the presentation of the family group in the context of other tales; Susanna explored the key historical context of his work; Tommy argued that Chaucer is more renaissance than medieval; whilst Miranda encouraged the captive audience to write some lines of Middle English poetry.

The next Lit Soc is due to take place in week 4 and will be themed, ‘The End of the World’.
