Exeter UCAS Exhibition
Last week, 80 Lower Sixth pupils from Wells attended the annual Higher Education Exhibition held at the Westpoint Centre in Exeter, accompanied by Wells Head of Careers, Ben Taylor, Sally Rowley, Helen Tallet and Charlotte Farmer.
The pupils were able collect prospectuses and speak to UCAS experts and representatives from all of the universities in the UK, as well as representatives from graduate-level apprenticeships, gap year specialists and members of the armed forces.
There were inspirational talks, topical seminars, application process advice, and interactive stands, with current university students on hand to discuss what it’s really like to study a certain subject.
Whether kick-starting research or refining choices, the trip provided Wells Sixth Form pupils with an opportunity to think about and start to prepare for the next stage of their education, as well as prompting them to book a higher education appointment with Ben for advice and guidance in the summer term.
