Geography Field Trip to Dartmoor

Lower Sixth geographers recently spent the day studying the extraordinary landscape of Dartmoor National Park, including a visit to Hay Tor and a river study of the East Bovey Head, where despite the poor weather forecast, the sun came out, briefly. The final location was the remarkable granite formation at Great Staple Tor, where pupils surveyed and measured the granite features, and contrasted them to neighbouring Cox Tor.
