Asta Wins Butterfly Gold

Congratulations to Year 5 pupil Asta who won the 25m butterfly final at the IAPS National Swimming Finals, held at the London Aquatics Centre this week. Despite a hair-raising false start, Asta finished in an incredibly quick time of 15.04 seconds, winning the gold medal.

Junior School teacher Noami Hammerton, who accompanied Asta to the London finals, said, “Asta is an amazing all-round athlete, who embodies the spirit of great sportsmanship.”
