Young Musicians’ Gala Recital

On Saturday evening Upper Sixth trumpeter Danni Woodnutt, and Lower Sixth pianist Sejin Yoon performed in the first of this year’s Young Musicians’ Gala Recitals in Cedars Hall.

As finalists in the School’s Concerto Competition, the pupils presented an exciting and eclectic range of classical masterpieces for solo piano and solo trumpet. The recital also included the world premiere of Minds for Trumpet and Timpani by Paul Denegri, with fellow Lower Sixth percussionist Stan Talman as guest performer on timpani.
