Trumpet Day

The Wells Cathedral School Trumpet Day 2020, which took place on Sunday, proved a success for over 30 young brass musicians. Led by Brass Coordinator, Ross Brown, the day included sessions on natural trumpets, tips on making practice more fun, and breathing techniques, as well as a spectacular recital by Chris Avison, Principal Trumpet of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Vincent Bach Trumpets Artist. The finale concert, which rounded off an inspiring session concluded with a mass rendition of the Prelude from Te Deum by Charpentier, with over 40 musicians (including some of the eager parents!).  Our thanks to Vincent Bach for their support of Wells Trumpet Day.
